I agree! I wrote him yesterday and told him I am ashamed of him and I think he should resign.

I wrote to him before the vote and told him not to vote for the motion. He obviously disregarded what I said.

It's time for new younger fresh leadership. PERIOD

Age should not be a disqualification. Several of those providing leadership right now aren't exactly young -- Elizabeth Warren and Jamie Raskin come to mind, and so does Bernie Sanders although he's not a Democrat.

It’s not an age thing. He’s spineless and weak. Not in step with the moment!

“We need Hope, and you ain’t it”… hell, yeah, brother! Your commentary is spot on. I don’t care if you’ve done one million good things. If you fold in complicity at the moment of need… go home, hang your head, and don’t show your face around here anymore. We’re done with you, Schumer. SNL said it best: Buh bye now! Buh, bye! 👋🏽 👋🏽 idgaf if the door hits you on the way out. Ya done.

I COULD call my Democratic Senator and tell him to support Schumer stepping down but it's Fetterman! He voted yes with Shumer. He also needs to step down. We voted for him, not Man chin or Sinema.

I would have preferred this approach which offers a clean 4 week CR

I would like to know what kind of deal he made with Trump. Evil bully Trump just mocked Schumer a few days ago and still Schumer caves in. It is time for new leadership. I have been saying for a long time that the Dems are weak and do not fight enough. There are a group who do fight back, challenge and are not afraid to do so against Trump and the GOP but sadly not enough. Why the hell are they so afraid of this mentally unstable old man!!!!! I would never allow anyone like Trump to get away with threatening me and the Dems shouldn't either! Schumer is from the old school and playing nice with this horrible regime doesn't work. We must be strong and bold and fight for this country and its people. I am truly tired of the weakness of many politicians in both parties. Living in fear is already living in a dictatorship.

Schumer has surrendered to the Musk Party. He should step down as leader and either resign his seat, or change Party affiliation. How does he justify this? He says that a shutdown would be worse. That is a fantasy - they are emptying all of the federal agencies and departments- you know, shutting them down. This way they have his approval. Also the Congress is taking a ridiculous vacation for ST. PATRICK'S DAY!? That is a full shutdown

I really believe Schumer put self-interest ahead of everything else, under cover of a really dumb point of view about this decision. He was kind of martyring himself, self-righteous about going against what everyone was screaming for, like he was saving us from ourselves, but I really don't think he was concerned in the end. Lazy, greedy, yeah.
