You are a hero of mine. I want you to continue, use your anger to help the country change for the better. I contributed to your congressional run, and when you run again, I will contribute to your campaign. I am a retired Army COL....I know an ethical, deeply patriotic man when I see him.
Stay strong. We are all sad, dismayed, angry. I am also taking time to grieve. I hope to be strong, involved and committed one day soon. You are a true American hero.
I appreciate these words. You expressed my feelings exactly. I am connecting with like minded people. It helps … a bit. But inside I’m fearful and furious and unkind. I
Hope to feel more like a warrior in time. Your words. Your energy. Your actions. Help so much. Thank you!
They are counting on all of us to be angry and despondent and willing to give in. They are testing all of us right now to see how far we will allow them to go, to destroy this country, with choosing the WORST possible appointees for cabinet positions. Now is the time to FIGHT and NOT be complacent with their attempts to deny rights and the ability for certain groups of citizens to have freedoms in this country. Where are the angry women? Why are just some women fighting for freedoms. Let's get up right now and fight for the Constitution and our country of laws!!!
I have admired your courage and straight talk since the beginning and I supported your campaign and am so sorry you did not win. You would have been a great asset in Congress. As you regain your footing and your calling I will be there to follow your lead and support you and all of us who must stand up, speak out and protect those who will be next in the line of fire. Thank you, Joanna Dorset VT
I appreciate your honesty. I'm sad 2 but Im scared to be angry. However, You've been thru a lot, and its normal and you are entitled to be angry! Trump needs to be held accountable 4 the insurrection on Jan 6. and his hate speech that drove it. I know it's not enough 4 all you've done but I'm sending thoughts and prayers 4 your well-being in this difficult time.
You're an inspiration, Harry. Let us never forget the example of Jimmy Carter, who despite defeat as president, went on to do great things all over the world. He could have gone back to being a peanut farmer for the rest of his life, an honorable decision. But he didn't: he made a huge difference in the world. I was sorry you didn't get elected to the Congress, but upwards and onwards, you've got work to do all over!!
Harry, you have the experience and the insight to tell us how to fight and the inside knowledge to come up with a plan. I know I am able to do more than give $37 to the DCCC everytime they email.
My husband told me MSNBC lost 60% of their viewers after the election, while Fox Entertainment has gained viewers. I haven’t been able to watch TV because I literally get sick to my stomach when I see that giant , orange fool’s smirking face. Yet if we don’t support our free press they will go out of business. I’m going to turn my TV on to MSNBC and press the mute button so they can continue until I am able to tolerate the news again.
I want to be clear when I say fight I mean through the legal system and our local , state and federal government. The orange fool and Magas thinks violence and cheating the system is the way to win. Democracy cannot be sustained through violence or cheating but only with elections that are fair and not manipulated by Russian misinformation bots or gerrymandering election districts.
Sir, I am sorry your work didn't land you a seat in government because I believe we all would have been better off with your voice and perspectives creating laws & programs to move the country forward. Like you, I am looking for use for my empty hands. Till I find a direction, I am caring for my 2 year old granddaughter everyday and hoping to teach her to be a good person & citizen.
When you put so much into something and it fails, you have every right to be angry. As you noticed i said I plan on continuing to fight but we have to allow ourselves to heal in order to continue giving it all we got! Thanks my friend!
You most assuredly have a right to be angry, Harry, and you WILL work your way past it lest it consume you. We all must get past our dismay, disappointment, disillusionment, anger, sadness, fear and the other emotions that are swirling around in us and do our best to channel them into positive, peaceful resistance during what will be times more trying and fraught than any we have experienced in our lifetimes. Let us all link arms.
I think you summed up what we’re all wading through currently. Feeling adrift, wondering if anyone has any ideas of what we should do, and finding ourselves full of resentment that our lives are turned upside down, once again, with a man who is a narcissistic bigot whose only goal is to make others ‘pay’ if they cross his path and don’t do his bidding. We do remain united. We who have any sense at all know that in 2 years once more, seats will come up in Congress. Let’s try to figure out a place for our voice in those upcoming elections. I won’t give DJT any of my power. I refuse to let him make choices for me or future generations. There is power in a united voice. We just need to use it and find the venue to make it count. No one in this current proposed cabinet are going to do any measureable work for the American people but rather than waiting for them, we need to act. I think many governors are meeting to decide how to deal with the first of many threats to immigrants. I guess if there’s a way to help we could start there. We could go to the DC march for women i believe in January. I am out of ideas after that but I keep looking to others and keep educating myself with the hope that something will stick.
You have a lot of company. That alone tells me we’re not done.
Don’t give up. Run for Congress again. We can get you elected somehow. This country needs you.
Even in your darkest hours you are an inspiration to millions. We will lift each other up.

Thank you for sharing. Such a dark time. I am with you
No need to be angry, spend the energy addressing the problems
When you put so much into something and it fails, you have every right to be angry. As you noticed i said I plan on continuing to fight but we have to allow ourselves to heal in order to continue giving it all we got! Thanks my friend!
Not saying that you don’t have a right to be angry; just don’t let him win that, let’s channel on how to finish him
