This week, I had the solemn duty to testify before the United States Senate with a simple but urgent message: we cannot forget what happened on January 6, 2021. That day was not just an attack on a building—it was an attack on democracy, on truth, and on the rule of law. As someone who stood on the front lines that day, witnessing firsthand the violence and chaos unleashed on the Capitol, I know how dangerous it is to ignore the warning signs of political extremism.

Harry, that’s because nothing of this magnitude has ever happened in this country since, I guess, the Civil War. Nothing makes sense anymore. It’s nearly impossible to grasp how much trauma and damage this individual has inflicted on our whole country; for someone like you, who has had it all and more, up close and personal, for more than four years, it has to be nearly unbearable. There is no way to express adequate gratitude for what you and your fellow officers did for us all that day. Thank you always for continuing to speak out against the madness.
Thank you so much, Harry. The American public deserves to be told the truth about that day because there are still so many who want to deny it ever happened. EVERY SINGLE ONE of the so-called "Patriots" fell victim to Donald Trump's parade of on-going lies. You are a wonderful person for (once again) standing up for what our country promises to be as written in our pledge of allegiance. One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Are Republican lawmakers listening? If they keep denying J6 was an attempted coup, they will all be voted out. They are not supporting our democracy, which they took oaths to do.

I’m 79 years old and scared everyday, this is so sad, I can’t believe this world today and feel helpless !

Don’t be scared—be angry! And then use your anger to help make peaceful but forceful change. Take a stand in any of the protests and marches near you—being with those who feel as you do is very heartening. Call and write to your elected representatives who are supposed to be working FOR YOU. Contribute a little bit to the people you see running for office against those who are sitting on their hands doing nothing. Contact voting organizations and volunteer to write postcards. You can help make the groundswell of change.
I've held my tongue with my Republican sister who voted for tRump until I learned that tRump pardoned all the J6 criminals. I just lost it. I cried. That's when I broke my silence and called her and asked her to face the consequences of her vote for the most vile and despicable man who is shaming the great office of the presidency and putting our democracy at risk. Harry, you honored us and the integrity of our democracy by going once again on record at great risk to your safety. Thank you!
